“Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.” -Regina Brett
I think this quote means you should not live your whole life on someone else. Do not waste time paying attention to them or treating them badly. If you are like that you should spend more time thinking about how you are acting, not another person. Life is to short for that kind of behavior. Bad thoughts and bad actions against other people are just a waste of time.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” -Nelson Mandela
I think this quote means that bravery or courage is not living without fear, but making it nothing to you because it is wasteful of time just worrying about it. True courage is being afraid but not putting it in your life as something to remember. Thinking about fear and living through the whole thing thinking about it is true fear. The brave people learn to conquer it. It is still fear but when you conquer it, it is not relevant to your life any more even though it is still their.

“Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.” Buddha
I think this quote means that truth is what people always find out. The sun and the moon can not be long hidden, for they are always found again the next day. Lying is part of this process. Although this does not mean al lies will be found to false every day but eventually the truth always makes one peek out of it’s hiding place and then it is found.

“Learn to love without condition. Talk without bad intention. Give without any reason. And most of all, care for people without any expectation.” Unknown
I only think I know the bottom one of those four sentences so I’m going to write what I think that one means. I think that last one means that you should care for people that aren’t expected to care for themselves.

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” John Muir
I think this quote means that when you get rid of one thing in wildlife you find it effects all other animals and organisms. Take the food chain as an example. If you take plant out of the food chain there will be no animals and wildlife will never be the same.

“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” George Bernard Shaw
I think this quote means that if you share a thought with someone and they share a thought to you then that is different from an object. An object can be shared with two people and they both have one object because you give and you get so you have one again. But an idea you give one but still have it in your mind if you focus on it. But because you also receive an idea, now you have two ideas.

“Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.” H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I think this quote means that our character is what and who we are when no one is aware of it. This means that what you do when no one is with you or even if you are in a secret place that only you know about even there that is where your character builds and that is who you are. It descent matter if no one knows where you are it depends on your character.

“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” Albert Einstein
I think this quote means that if you have never tried anything else than what you do then you always do what you do perfect. But if you don’t try anything new then you won’t have success. Like school for example, if you are good at writing and you get the best grades on writing but you are not good at math then it might not matter that much because you need to be good at math as well to have success. So if you do one thing perfect but that’s the only thing you do try something else and you can be successful.

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” Theodore Roosevelt
I think this quote means that when you compare some one to another person the person that you said was worse or less talented will take their happiness and joy until their is none left. It steals it until it turns into despair. When you take all of their joy it never turns out the way any one wants like anger and grief. So don’t compare with whos good and bad because it really does not make some ones day.

“Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.” Marianne Williamson
I think this quote means that the good things that happen to you can only be happy if you let them be in your soul. When we recognize how good things are even if its negative to you look to what it does to other people and to their lives and their ways of life. If you take a look at other people you can recognize what is good and bad even if its a bad thing to you look to other peoples personality in a good way so maybe they can be happy.
